Enlisted is closing out the summer the way it has run all of 2026: a steady drip of Battle Pass seasons, a limited-time event ladder, and small-but-frequent patches — but this stretch matters more than usual because Darkflow Software is finally moving on its plan to carve BR5 into its own bracket and open the door to Korean War-era hardware.
That combination gives the WWII squad shooter a clearer sense of direction than the usual seasonal churn. For a game built on tight battle-rating matchmaking, changing how the top tier works is a bigger deal than any single new weapon.
A new Battle Pass season keeps the grind moving
Enlisted has shipped Battle Pass seasons at a brisk clip this year — the game is already deep into its 2026 run, with multiple seasons rolling out one after another. Each brings the familiar package: a themed progression track, new premium and event-locked squads, weapons, and cosmetics to grind toward across the free and paid lines.
The format is unchanged, and that consistency is the point. Regular players know exactly what to expect, when to expect it, and how much time a full completion demands. If you've fallen off, a new season is the natural on-ramp back in.
BR5 becomes its own tier — and Korea comes into view
The headline structural shift is the plan to make BR5 its own separate tier, which sets up the game to start dipping into Korean War-era content. That's a notable line to cross for a game that has, until now, stayed firmly inside the Second World War.
Splitting BR5 off addresses a long-running complaint at the top of the ladder: the highest-rated late-war and early-Cold-War-adjacent gear was being squeezed into brackets it overshadowed. Giving it dedicated space lets Darkflow balance that hardware against its own peers instead of dragging down the matches below it — and it creates a clean slot for Korea-era vehicles and weapons to slide into without breaking WWII authenticity in the lower tiers.
For high-level players, this is the change to watch. It reshapes what the endgame actually looks like.
Summer event ladder and steady fixes
Alongside the seasonal content, Enlisted has been running a battle-score event ladder — earn score in matches, climb the rewards track, claim the tiered prizes — with the summer event window stretching into early September. It's the usual limited-time carrot, and the usual reason to log in daily before it closes.
The patch cadence has stayed practical rather than flashy. Recent maintenance has cleaned up map and destructibility issues — including a fix for puddles that could float in mid-air and tuning to how wooden and stone fences break in the Far East — plus animation work on the M1941 Johnson LMG. On the technical side, the "Auto" Graphics API option now defaults to DirectX 12 on AMD RDNA 4 cards, with DirectX 11 still selectable for anyone who needs it.
What's new at a glance

What it means for players
The seasonal Battle Pass and event ladder are the immediate reasons to jump in, but the BR5 split is the change that will actually reshape how Enlisted plays at the top. If the Korean War transition lands well, it's the most meaningful expansion of the game's scope since it left early access. Expect balance tuning to follow as the new tier settles — we'll keep tabs on the changelog as Darkflow rolls it out.
