Plarium has taken Raid: Shadow Legends somewhere unexpected: Oz. The Echoes of Oz event reimagines characters from L. Frank Baum's world as Teleria Champions, and it anchors a run of summoning events stretching from mid-August deep into November. Backing it up is Update 11.75, which brings four new Legendary Champions, a Mercurial Set rework, and Siege changes.
For a game that usually themes its crossovers around dark fantasy and licensed action heroes, a Wizard of Oz tie-in is a genuine swerve — and Plarium is spreading it across a long enough window that most players will catch at least one piece.
Dorothy Gale headlines a three-month Chase
The centerpiece is Dorothy Gale, featured in her own Chase Event running from August 19 to November 19. She's built as a Support Champion leaning on debuffs and buff manipulation — a kit aimed at the account-wide utility slots rather than raw damage, which is where long Chase rewards tend to earn their keep.
Around her, the rest of the cast trickles in on a staggered schedule:
- The Cowardly Lion ran as a Fusion Event from August 19 to September 3, then became summonable from Shards on September 4
- The Scarecrow and The Tin Woodman are available from Shards during the event
- Ozilda the Wicked and Dorothy herself become summonable from November 10
To kick off September, Plarium layered on a x2 Ancient Shard event with a x15 boosted chance to pull The Scarecrow, starting September 4 — a nudge for players sitting on a shard stockpile to gamble on the new arrivals.
Update 11.75's mechanical changes
The Oz cast is the shiny part, but 11.75 carries the structural weight:
- Four new Legendary Champions added to the pool
- Mercurial Set changes, retuning one of the game's gear sets
- x30 Progressive Chance Events, sweetening the odds on featured pulls
- Siege updates, continuing Plarium's ongoing work on the mode
Mercurial Set adjustments are the ones veterans will scrutinize hardest. Set reworks ripple through established builds, and a shift there can quietly reshuffle which Champions are worth gearing.
Why it matters
Echoes of Oz is a textbook example of how Raid keeps a years-old gacha feeling fresh: a novelty crossover to draw eyes, a long summoning window so nobody feels rushed, and a numbered update underneath that actually moves the meta.
