Star Trek Fleet Command tier list — best officers ranked

Last updated: September 17, 2026. This ranks officers by their realistic value across PvP and PvE when slotted into the crews they're built for. STFC officers are highly specialized, so the same name can be S-tier for one job and irrelevant for another — power lives in the crew, not the individual. Placement weighs three roles: the captain maneuver (the top-seat ability that fires when an officer captains), the two bridge seats that feed it, and the below-deck officers whose passives buff stats behind the scenes.

Star Trek Fleet Command tier list

Tier Officers
S — meta Khan Noonien Singh · Gorkon · Kathryn Janeway · Suder · Seska · Christopher Pike · Marlena Moreau
A — excellent James T. Kirk · Spock · Kang · Honorguard Worf · Grace Chen · Jean-Luc Picard · Stonn
B — very good Liviana Charvanek · Alexander Marcus · Kras · Klaa · Nero · Barot · T'Pring
C — situational Cadet Uhura · Cadet McCoy · Cadet Sulu · Domitia · Helvia · K'Bisch

An officer's tier is tied to crew synergy and your Ops level, not raw stats. A B-tier officer in the right three-seat combo will out-perform a mis-crewed S-tier every time, and cadets that look weak here are genuinely strong on early accounts.

Best by role

  • PvP (player combat): Khan Noonien Singh (damage that scales the longer a fight runs — the base-cracking staple), Gorkon (premier hull-breach officer, opening heavy damage windows), James T. Kirk + Spock (the classic morale core for survivability).
  • PvE / hostiles & armadas: Kathryn Janeway with Suder and Seska (the current armada/PvE core for accounts that can field it), Christopher Pike with Marlena Moreau (the long-running hostile-farming workhorse).
  • Mining / protection: Stonn (ore captain), Barot (crystal), T'Pring (gas) — pair with Helvia, Domitia or K'Bisch for the matching resource and to reduce protected-cargo losses.
  • Best captains: Khan Noonien Singh (PvP), Christopher Pike (hostiles), Kathryn Janeway (armadas), Stonn (mining) — these are the maneuvers worth building a crew around.

How to read this tier list

Treat this as an investment-priority guide, not a scoreboard. Because STFC is a crew game, synergy beats any single officer — a complete, well-matched three-seat crew always outperforms one star officer surrounded by filler. Level and rank the officers that complete a crew you can actually use at your Ops level first: the Pike hostile crew and a solid mining trio pay off immediately, while the Janeway armada core and top PvP names are longer-term projects. Don't over-invest in an S-tier name you can't yet crew properly.

Methodology & updates

Rankings reflect the current September 2026 meta and lean on community consensus cross-checked across Game8, Carnac's Guide and player-run STFC tier lists rather than any single source. We only rank officers that exist in the live game, and we re-check placements as Scopely releases new officers and rebalances existing crews.
